Alright Ladies and Gents here is a summary from TOP this weekend. Firstly, as you know we here in Deathbridge tend to have much more friendly, often fluff based lists and TOP through a lot of standard meta out the window. Had some great games and good people to boot. I went 3-2 and still managed to get 3rd on General and Overall! The scenarios are fantastic and really change from the standard just kill the dude in most cases. Plus I only played one scenario I had last year (ZOMBIES) to boot. Tons of prize and most people got something to take home. From the raffle I ended up with a box of Devastators, Sternguard, and a marine Captain. Also traded a $50 gift card to century box to someone for the Thunder Cav they won as I am not often in Calgary. Also as noted the tons of prizes, there was another one for most "Swag", basically dressing nice as mentioned in the players pack, that I won for busting out the kilt and my tuxedo the fallowing day for another marine captain. Iain MacLeod (guy who ran grots) won the major raffle of a Reaver Titan! And as there will be another TOP next year I encourage everyone to come out. Its a lot more fun, less competitive than Grotscon, and the scenarios are always getting updated, touched up, and revamped. More people means even more prize support.
So this being noted, I have talked with the guy who runs TOP, and may be submitting at least one if not multiple scenarios for next year. When the time comes we should play test them here and see if they make the cut. So if you have suggestions or ideas of some interesting ones along the lines of ones listed on their website hit me up, we can hash them out and see if they become a new classic.
