I love Tau lists with big units of nothing but Fire Warriors hehe.
So whats your anti-armor factor here, the Hammerhead and Broadsides?

Damn wow, thats a lot of firewarriors! Now, that being said. Having played tau now for nearly 10 years, I've never personally been a fan of warrior lists, mostly because they simply haven't worked for me and suits certainly has. But I'm not going to dissuade you, so lets make this one work.
OK SO, two glaring things that stood out to me first. One, not enough Anti-armor. One hammerhead at 2000pts is simply not going to cut it (personal experience) as one hit could take it out, and then you're broadsides are simply not reliable against anything over armor 12. So we need to find a way to add a second broadside.
LOVE the shield drones, now that they are the same value as all others, there really isn't a reason to take gun drones.
Now, I'd scrap the the drone unit, then add markerlight with target locks to all your squad leaders. This means that you can use one leader to markerlight for the next unit that is shooting, who will benefit from the marker light to pass it onto the next unit, and so on. Mombo line style, ask Sean if you need clarification, he may be able to show you. Second, split those pathfinders in half, or more. I ran a unit of 6 the first game I played in 6th, and found that two units of 4, were far more effective than one of 6 because then I could hit two units. 10 marker lights is OVERKILL to shoot at one unit as they don't have target locks. I'd be more tempted to use 2 of 5 men, or find two more guys and run three units of 4 and just bunker them down in cover. That would put a staggering 18 markerlights on the board at one time.
Lastly, I'm not sold on the etheral or the fire warrior commander, but I've also never fielded them. I'd be curious as to your plans of how to use them.
Overall, my concern with a fire warrior gunline is dealing with heavy armor, dedicated CC units, and elite units like terminators. Yes they have lots of shots, but can you get enough through fast enough? Also the mobility isn't there.
To sum up, I'd suggest dropping one unit of fire warriors, the unit of drones, and maybe one HQ. Add another hammerhead, add markerlight/target lock to squad leaders, and split up the path finders.
I'd Love to hear how the list does! For the Greater Good!

I also noticed that your hammerhead is way over costed. For what its going to be doing, what value is Longstrike? just use one of a dozen marker lights to marker the tank and give it BS 6. I would also HIGHLY suggest dropping the seeker missiles on the Broadsides to buy them the skyfire upgrade if you can. You no AA ability and most aircraft will roll you if you dont hit em. I.e. Necrons and Chaos specifically.

Also, the three target locks on the broadsides are a waste. Two would be good. Think, if one targets the main target, and two have target locks, that means you can still hit three targets with only two upgrades. But really, I've always run with just one target lock on the squad leader to give me a backup option without running up cost.
God I really should have taken a closer look the first time through lol

High strength and low ap is what you need and anti flyer units thanks to the new eldar codex with it's flyers and the wraithknight

I should have said this is an army for taking down hordes orks and nids. it follows a kauyon scenario drones and pathfinder are up head of the battle line in the open and light up any enemy vehicles to no cover, so no kustom force field, send in the seeker missiles and boost BS making longstrike BS 8 nitwit that's why you take him, fire warrior can take down light vehicles.
With the enemy footslogging it they have to get rid of the markerlights charging into the open into the fire warriors rapid fire range, making it a field, see with the special rules of the ethereal and cadre fire blade the squad they are attached has 6 sheid drones and can fire 48 shots at rapid fire range and any other fire waarior squad within 12" of the ethereal gets 36 shot making a total 228 shots, infantry dead. any light vehicles dead. bikes jet bikes get missile shoved down their throat by the broadsides. and any heavy vehicles get popped and any masses of infantry get vaporised, hence the target locks and hence the pts for the hammer head True this is depending on good luck and the right list and I should have said that when I put my up, you certainly wouldn't take this against marines, but the thing is other than the flyers (that'll need to be fixed) the bases are covered against forces like orks, dark eldar, demons and tyranids. Stay posted, I'll make an elite killy army later, now that you know what this army list is for, it makes much more sense

the drone are just bait, nothing more, but with invul's and markerlights shooting out from there, they will not make an easy kill point making them dangerous to the enemy making it nessesary tto kill these drones, making them perfect bait with minimal casualties as is the tau way of the kauyon.

not much I can do about the hammerhead and broadsides, if a tank heavy army comes, this army is screwed, but as i said this a horde army, the broadsides and hammerhead are security.

yeah no this is not an army for planes sorry about the nitwit bit that was rude, anyway, in fact it's a sort of specialist list, oh well, but any as I said abot the fireblade and the ethereal, you lot's of shots, or with an ethereal the fire warriors can be stubborn, or couple other things. no need to worry about CC. I think a Riptide would have been cool, but they are so expensive and it's dangerous to over charge or nova charge. altough if you need a bigger army list, you can add to this list with another hammerhead and battlesuits and kitting out 2 full sized pathfinder squads.
