Mark it on the ol calendars kids, next event is going to be December 3rd and 4th. (I hope)
Format is going to be my new style which is currently just getting the kinks ironed out, but here's the set in stone basics.
Army Composition:
- 1500 pt main force, Battleforged army. There will be no unit restrictions but some choices will affect your overall score.
- 200 kill team, must be drawn from the same army as your primary detachment and be completely separate models from your 1500
Format:
- ITC missions and FAQ in terms of rule interpretations, but we will not be using their unit composition rules.
- 1 round of kill team followed by 4 rounds of 1500 pt 40k, kill team and first 1500pt will be Saturday night, the other 3 rounds will be sunday.
- no painting requirement but this will affect your overall score.
- will be scoring out for Best Overall, Best Painted and Best Sportsmanship, as well as products from EPICgameboards from High River.
- scoring and format is new, if you want to see the basics of it, see the New Format Thread, once it is final I will post it here.
Given the army sizes, we are only going to have enough space for a dozen players, maybe push it to 14 if we get nice and cozy. Spots will be first come, first served.
You can sign up here and pay at Showcase Comics, signing up is free, and your spot is locked in when you pay. I also know not everyone is on here, so let me know if someone new or not on the forums is coming and I will update accordingly.
Roster:
1. blackscorpion22 (Andrew)
2. duckofdeath (John)
3. sainttau (James)
4. woogityboogity (Justin)
5. Miller (Miller)
6. Court (Bailey)

As always, any questions feel free to ask.
Army Composition:
-1500 pts
-Battle forged armies only
-200 pts kill team
-the main battleforged list must have completely separate models from your kill team
-your overall list will be scored out of 10 for each round of the event. Every player starts with the full points and takes the following deductions.
Minus 1 pt for every Lord of War or Super Heavy or Gargantuan Creature
Minus 1 pt for every full strength ranged D weapon
Minus 1 pt for every formation source past 3 selections
Minus 1 pt for a non-painted army
Minus 1 pt for a non-painted kill team
Round Scoring:
-1 kill team round that uses the kill team missions, worth 3 pts.
-5 ITC mission rounds
-your per round score will be based off of the victory pts ratio of the game’s outcome
11-0 = 10 pts for the winner, 0 for the loser
A 1-2 pt variance = 6-4
A 3-4 pt variance = 8-2
Any draw = 5-5
Sportsmanship:
-you will have a set of scores to hand out at the end of the second day, numbered 1-5
-each score must be attributed to a game, and each can be used only once
-chances are you will have 5 great games, but you cannot score everyone the same number, it is recommended you keep notes through the weekend
-at the end of the event will also vote for your favourite opponent, which will determine the Sportsmanship award and in the event of ties in overall scoring
Painting:
-painting presentation will be before the kill team round Saturday night
-everyone will vote for their favourite painted army before the event starts
-your painting scoring will be done by the organizer at this time as well and your score will be applied to each round
3 Color minimum Painted = 3 pts
Fully based = +1 pt
Wow factor= +1 pt
